The DC Square Dance Collective and the Baltimore Square Dance are excited to announce the return of Dare To Be Square DMV at Prince William Forest Park, Cabin Camp 4, May 8-10!

This is a magical weekend of dancing and music, tucked into a historic camp in a beautiful Virginia forest. It’s for all ages and skill levels, from experienced dancers to those who haven’t tried square dancing since middle school. That includes you!
What to expect:
-
- Square dance to your heart’s content at lively dances each night and daytime workshops
- Learn to call your first dance or hone your calling skills
- Enjoy old-time instrument and singing sessions
- Learn clogging/flatfooting
- Go for a hike and explore the park, or play board games & lawn games
- Or just jam, hang out, and meet some awesome new people!
We’re thrilled to be welcoming back Will Mentor and introducing Charmaine Slaven as dance callers and instructors. We’ll also have performances and workshops from a seriously all-star lineup of musicians, including Steam Machine (Minneapolis) and Big Cricket (Baltimore).
Unlike our usual dances, advance registration is required. Apologies, no tix at the door! Registration is $145 with discounts available for kids, musicians who play for workshops, and other volunteers. The registration fee covers evening dances, daytime workshops, onsite lodging, and all meals for the whole weekend. Details & tix at www.daretobesquaredmv.com/!
We can’t wait to bring people together for another weekend of dancing, music, and revelry.
